Superseded on 7 December 2024. The Global Talent visa used subclass 858 and that subclass now carries the National Innovation Visa — the number survived, the programme did not. GTV's target-sector list, income threshold guidance and comparatively generous invitation rate are all gone.
This programme is closed. We keep the page up because agents still
advertise it and clients still ask. Nothing below is available to new applicants.
Because the subclass number did not change, a great deal of GTV-era marketing still reads as current and is not. The salary-threshold guidance that made GTV navigable for senior corporate hires has no counterpart under the NIV, which asks for international eminence instead.
